Ban Cell Phones? NTSB Says Distracted Driving Must End
The National Transportation Safety Administration has recommended that all cell phone use – emails, texts, and calls – be banned. The agency notes that thousands of American have died in crashes in Illinois and around the country from distracted driving.
Dixon Law Office founder, G. Grant Dixon III, is a lawyer who frequently represents victims of serious car crashes. “Few people admit they are distracted when driving,” he said. “This problem has reached epidemic proportions.” He is right. Some 3,092 roadway fatalities last year involved distracted drivers, although the actual number may be far higher, NHTSA said.
